Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, and Link's Awakening just got new Nintendo websites. Moreover, they are filled with new high-resolution art, dropping ahead of the Game & Watch release in November. Fans will be familiar with many of the faces and scenes from the original games, and they will surely be happy to see the artwork rendered in higher quality. New desktop wallpapers for everyone!

For long-time fans of the franchise, they will find that the scenes are not exactly new. Although the artworks are mostly redraws from the early Zelda games, players will get to enjoy them in higher resolution and with more vibrant colors. Additionally, Nintendo has provided high-quality scans of old manual artwork. Through the sites, fans will also get to relive the feel of the original high-fantasy adventure games. Take a look at some of the art below!

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, the sequel to Legend of Zelda, also features storyline scenes on the website. There's also a clear upgrade in terms of the quality, though fans will no doubt still appreciate the GameBoy style elements in the first site. Besides the map of Hyrule, the site also showcases Link's magic meter as he's off to save Princess Zelda from a sleeping spell.

Link's Awakening website art and assets

As the first Legend of Zelda title on handheld console, Link's Awakening doesn't showcase scenes from the story unlike the first two sites. But instead, you get some cool poses of Link as he searches for the eight musical instruments to awaken the Wind Fish on Koholint island. The art styles are quite distinct across the three sites, which fans will surely love as it takes them through different eras in the Zelda universe.

While fans can get a sense of nostalgia through visiting these websites, they can also look forward to the upcoming release of Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda. These three franchise-defining games will be available in one system, as a tribute to 35 years of Zelda. Players and collectors alike will revel in these iconic titles with retro-inspired hardware, bringing fresh twists to old-school classics.
