The Detroit Lions are coming off another forgettable campaign in 2021, going 3-13 in Jared Goff's first season with the team. However, he did build some impressive chemistry with his former LA Rams teammate Josh Reynolds, who has just inked a two-year extension with the Lions.

Per Mike Garofolo:

As mentioned, Detroit was hoping to lock up Reynolds prior to Free Agency, where he was expected to garner interest. The two-year deal is worth a maximum of $12 million. Not a ton of money, but the wide receiver showed serious promise in seven games with the Lions after coming over mid-season.

Reynolds was waived by Tennessee but quickly found a home in the Motor City, collecting 19 catches for 306 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 16.1 yards per reception, a career-high. It's obviously going to take a lot for the Lions to truly turn things around, but as Garofolo mentioned, Goff really wanted Reynolds back. It's a familiar face from their days in LA together which means their chemistry could grow even more.

The 27-year-old Texas A&M product had his best season in 2020 with the Rams, notching 52 receptions for 618 yards before signing a one-year deal with the Titans prior to 2021. Although that stint didn't last long, it looks like he's getting the chance to have a more advanced role with the Lions. Let's hope he can continue to produce as one of Jared Goff's favorite weapons out wide.
