The Detroit Lions are trying to win their third game of the season in Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks. The injury statuses of quarterback Jared Goff and running back D'Andre Swift are pivotal to Detroit's chances of leaving Seattle with a win. On Friday, the Lions provided updates on both Goff and Swift ahead of the game against the Seahawks.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell said that Goff is doubtful to play against the Seahawks in Week 17. Goff didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday, paving the way for backup Tim Boyle to make his second straight start. Campbell's update on D'Andre Swift was considerably better.

“He looks good. You can tell that he's comfortable and got his confidence up, he's ready,” Campbell said of Swift. “We were still getting him back in the flow last week. Did we think he'll be ready? What is his shoulder? But this week, you know it, you can see it, you can feel it. He's looked great all week.

Swift, who returned to practice at full strength, is good to go for Week 17 against the Seahawks. That's good news for Boyle, who will get a pivotal Lions weapon back in the mix. Swift has been a versatile contributor for Detroit, as he has totaled over 500 rushing yards and over 400 receiving yards along with six total touchdowns.

The Seahawks defense won't have to contend with quarterback Jared Goff but they will have to deal with Lions star halfback D'Andre Swift in Week 17 after the recent updates by Detroit head coach Dan Campbell.
