Lonzo Ball is heading into his second season with the Los Angeles Lakers and will start the season as the backup point guard behind Rajon Rondo. In his rookie season last year, Ball struggled and dealt with injury issues. It was a bit of a disappointment, but he is ready to prove his doubters wrong in year two.

While Lonzo was the No. 2 overall pick in his draft class, his younger brother, LaMelo, may end up being the best player to come out of the family.

Because of the talent that he possesses, Lonzo feels that he has to be tough on his younger brother to help get the most out of him. In an interview with ESPN LA's Mason and Ireland, Ball talked about pushing his brother.

“I got to talk to Melo a lot more than Gelo just because he’s younger and, you know, he hit fame very early so it gets to his head sometimes. He has a lot of talent. If he keeps a good head on his shoulders, he’ll be fine.”

Ball was also asked if the youngest brother in the family was listening to his advice.

“For the most part. You have to reinforce it time and time again but he gets it.”

It will be a while before we get to see what kind of NBA player LaMelo can become. He is just 17 years old and is about two years away from being able to enter the league.

Lonzo has a lot of expectations to live up to himself this season. His name was already brought up in trade rumors this offseason, but he can put an end to those with a big sophomore season.
