Video of Los Angeles Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins tearing his left ACL during a pick-up game in Las Vegas has emerged.

Cousins let out a loud scream after suffering the injury. It’s just a sad situation for Boogie, who has gone through three serious injuries now in a very short amount of time.

DeMarcus Cousins tore his Achilles tendon during the 2017-18 season as a member of the New Orleans Pelicans. He then tore his left quad in the 2019 playoffs with the Golden State Warriors. This ACL injury is just the latest big setback for Boogie, who is going to miss the entire 2019-20 season.

Cousins signed a one-year deal with the Lakers this summer. He was projected to be the team’s backup center. After this ACL tear, some are wondering if this is it for Cousins, who is a four-time All-Star with career averages of 21.2 points, 10.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists.

Injuries are part of sports. It’s something players can’t control. As you can see in the video, Cousins was simply trying to get to the hoop when his left knee gave out. It makes sense, though, since Boogie had two serious injuries to that leg before his ACL tore.

The NBA community is keeping DeMarcus Cousins in their prayers moving forward.
