Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Manchester United has not been as spectacular as fans had hoped, with the Red Devils sitting in fourth place in the Premier League. Ronaldo has been solid, though not spectacular, for the club this season, scoring 9 goals and assisting 3 across 21 Premier League appearances. With United not playing up to the level of expectation, rumors have sprung up suggesting the emergence of a locker room divide. Marcus Rashford took to Twitter on Wednesday to blast the reporter who was suggesting that Ronaldo is seeking control of the dressing room with his “own clique.”

Rashford wanted to put an end to these rumors just as quickly as they started. The Manchester United attacker shot down the report while questioning the authenticity of the reporter's comments, saying “Are we just making it up as we go along now then? Please stop looking for divides.”

The reporter in question is Christian Falk, who is the head of BILD Sport. Despite Rashford attempting to pour cold water on his rumors, Falk remains adamant that his reporting is accurate, even responding to Rashford via the social media platform.

While Rashford is trying to ensure fans that there are no qualms going on in the locker room, Falk doubled down on his reports, despite the Manchester United star getting involved.

Manchester United was hoping to become Premier League Title favorites after the addition of Ronaldo during the summer transfer window, however, the team has failed to live up to its expectations. The struggles in defense and midfield have been extremely apparent this season, and the Mason Greenwood controversy only added to the disarray within the club.
