Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is very disappointed with how his team performed against Watford.

The chances of winning the much-awaited English Premier League title has gotten slimmer after Manchester United blew up its shot to make a stunning comeback against Watford, a lower-seeded team.

Speaking after the game, Red Devils' first-choice shot-stopper David De Gea, who made two impressive penalty saves in the first half, didn't make any excuses about Manchester United's terrible form.

According to De Gea, “conceding easy goals” summed it up but the main problem was that they couldn't stay consistent for an entire 90 minutes.

“It was great for me at the beginning of the game,” De Gea assessed via Manchester United's official website. “I make the two saves and say ‘come on now, we have a big chance to win the game' but then we keep conceding chances, keep conceding easy goals, again and again. I don't know what to say.”

“I think it's simple,” he added. “[Watford] They play much better than us, they had more chances than us, they fight more than us, they want more than us. I think it was embarassing the first half, to be honest. We concede a lot of chances; we could have conceded four goals in the first half. It's not acceptable the level that we showed today.”

While De Gea is convinced that Manchester United players should be held responsible for the humiliating defeat to Watford. The narrative remains that it's all on club manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is now close to finally getting sacked.
