Charlotte Hornets forward Marvin Williams suffered a non-displaced fracture in the middle finger of his left hand.
The injury will keep him sidelined for the remainder of the preseason, but coach Steve Clifford says there is a chance he will be ready for the season opener on October 26th.

A re-evaluation will be given to Williams on October 25th, prior to the season opener to determine his availability status.
The good news for Williams is the fact that the injury is on his non-shooting hand (left) which makes an early return possible before he fully recovers.
Williams averaged 11.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game last season, and his minutes will be taken up by big man Frank Kaminsky until he returns.
