The Dallas Mavericks have yet to kickstart their offseason moves, still with no meetings or pitches planned for the soon-to-be free agents that make up this 2019 class.

The Mavs have been linked to All-Star point guard Kemba Walker among other stars, yet no general concept has been designed as the waves of free agency ebb and flow even before the June 30 deadline to get it all started.

Mavs owner Mark Cuban suggested “all the moving parts” in this year's market have made it harder than ever to pinpoint what he and his “sales team” must pitch and who they must pitch it to.

“Maybe more than ever,” Cuban told Mike Fisher of DallasBasketball.com. “There are all the moving parts in free agency that makes things less predictable. There are things that are going to happen that will dictate moves that are about more than just face-to-face meetings.”

The Mavs' first order of business will be to lock down a contract extension with their recently-acquired All-Star Kristaps Porzingis, despite coming off a tough ACL tear stemming from the 2017-18 season.

While Walker has been a name bouncing off the walls, the Mavs are only one of four teams in contention to get him, with the Boston Celtics currently as the frontrunners for his services.

Besides the two aforementioned, only Patrick Beverley is known to be willing to grant them a meeting in free agency, while other targets like Khris Middleton and restricted free agent Malcolm Brogdon of the Milwaukee Bucks are viewed as a long shot.
