Throughout his illustrious career, Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki has established himself as a winner on and off the court. The feats he’s reached as a player has made the Mavs icon widely considered as the best international talent to play in the NBA.

Off the court, specifically on his social media activity, Nowitzki has also won a lot of fans by making some hilarious posts in the past.

That happened again recently as the German international took to his Twitter account and shared a photo of him dunking the ball. However, what made it a funny one was the caption he placed, saying that the Mavs big man is still playing above the rim despite already being in his 20th season in the league.

That dunk actually elicited a crazy reaction from the Mavs bench.

It’s no secret that Nowitzki has made a living with his outside shot, particularly his one-legged fadeaway. He is the pioneer in changing the game of the modern power forward, having the ability to shoot the ball from distance despite being 7-feet tall.

A number of young guns have followed his lead and also added outside shooting to their offensive arsenals, as they know it will make them an even more difficult assignment for opposing defenders.

The 39-year-old may not be the same player that he was earlier in his career, but Nowitzki still continues to be productive whenever he plays. He is also the Mavs’ veteran locker room leader, making him an important piece for them, where his value can be seen not just during games but even outside the court.
