Miami Heat point guard Goran Dragic doesn't expect future international players who come to the NBA to have the type of impact Luka Doncic had this season with the Dallas Mavericks.

Doncic had a stellar rookie season with the Mavs and will probably win Rookie of the Year.

Dragic says players outside of the U.S. can still come over to the NBA and have success. However, the lefty believes if players try and emulate what Doncic did this season with the Mavs, it would be shortsighted.

“I hope not,” Goran Dragic said, via Ira Winderman of the Miami Sun-Sentinel. “Because he's only one of the only guys who did it. He was playing at that level in EuroLeague, and he won EuroLeague MVP and he won the title.

“So it's not a lot of those young kids who have these kinds of big roles on a team and win everything. Luka is just one of those kids. And I don't see anybody right now, where he can say, ‘OK, if Luka made it, I can make it.' Of course they can make it, but probably not to have the same at what he was.”

Luka Doncic averaged 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game this season for the Mavs. He shot 42.7 percent from the field, 32.7 percent from beyond the arc and 71.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Luka recorded 24 double-doubles and eight triple-doubles. Dallas certainly can't wait to see what Doncic does in his second season with Kristaps Porzingis as his partner in crime.
