Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic was understandably in a bit of a sour mood following his team's 154-111 blowout loss against the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 5 of their first-round matchup. When asked about the controversial incident involving Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris, Doncic turned the table and asked everyone else to be the judge on whether or not Morris stepped on his ankle on purpose.

Doncic conceded that he has no way of knowing if the play was intentional or not, but he also expressed his desire not to speak with Morris after this incident:

A new angle of the play recently surfaced, and in this one, it does appear that Morris' intentions were somewhat malicious:

Then again, as Luka Doncic implied above, only Morris himself will know what he was thinking during this particular play, and whether or not it was intentional or not. What is clear, however, is that Doncic is not the least bit happy about what happened — and understandably so.

Doncic struggled all evening long, and was bothered by this ankle injury which he has been dealing with for the past couple of games. It was the same ankle Morris stepped on in Game 5, and while it cannot be determined if this made the injury even worse, the risk Morris put Doncic in — be it intentional or not — is extremely dangerous. This could have caused a major injury to Doncic, which at worst, might even have a long-term effect.

It remains to be seen if Doncic will be able to suit up form their do-or-die Game 6 matchup on Thursday. Even if he is able to do so, however, he definitely won't be a hundred percent.
