Is there anyone in the league who can stop Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic from doing whatever he wants to do? The young superstar helped the Mavs win a close one over the Sacramento Kings, 127-123, with an absurd stat line of 25 points, 15 rebounds, and 17 assists.

NBA Stats reported that this performance sets multiple record that would have otherwise been impossible for any second-year player int he NBA.

The young Mavs superstar continues to astound fans with the way he’s playing basketball. His stat line betrays the fact that he’s only been in the league for two seasons. He’s averaging 28.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 8.8 assists on 47% shooting. The quality of play he showcased this season quickly makes him one of the heavy favorites to win MVP honors.

Doncic has played incredible basketball that even opposing coaches are giving him his due credit. Steve Kerr praised the Mavs guard as being a vital presence in the league.

“He’s really good for the NBA,” Kerr said prior to Tuesday’s game against the Mavericks, via ESPN’s Nick Friedell. “He’s important for the league — and [that] doesn’t really have anything to do with him coming from Europe. It’s more just what a wonderful basketball player he is. He’s different.”

“He’s a brilliant player, so young; he’s going to be one of the cornerstones of this league for a long time. He’s very important to the NBA.”

As long as he keeps this quality of play up, his spot in the All-Star game is locked. More importantly, the Mavs’ championship window has finally started in earnest.
