Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban showed utmost trust in Luka Doncic when he moved heaven and earth for a chance to select him back in the 2018 NBA Draft. That proved to be one of the wisest decisions the Mavs franchise has ever made.

While Doncic is already considered one of the league's most special talents at just 22 years old, it's his willingness to get even better that's reaping praises from the eccentric billionaire. Cuban revealed in a Twitter post on Monday the improvements that the Slovenian star wanted to make in the first three seasons of his young pro career.

He re-tweeted a highlight clip from Doncic's brilliant 8-for-9 shooting from deep in the Mavs' 40-point destruction of the Portland Trail Blazers in their last outing.

Turns out, the two-time All-Star vowed to become a more efficient shooter this season and is exactly living up to his promise. Mark Cuban added that Luka Doncic also told him he'll be a much better finisher a year before, something that the Mavs superstar has also accomplished.

Doncic entered the league with already a lethal 3-point stroke, which he often performs after one of his signature step-backs. Seeing more room for improvement, the 6-foot-7 playmaker upped his 3-point shooting average to a career-best 37.1 percent clip this season. The Mavs have certainly been reaping the benefits of Luka's hard work, as they have evolved into a much more dynamic offensive team in the 2020-21 campaign.

But as far as Cuban is concerned, the Mavs franchise player has yet to tap his full potential and will keep getting better in the coming years. Now that's just a scary sight for the other 29 teams.
