One of the biggest challenges NBA players have faced during the hiatus is keeping fit despite being quarantined in their respective homes. As it turns out, this is not the case for Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic, despite rumors claiming he has put on weight.

ESPN's Tim MacMahon recently went on the Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective podcast and reported on Doncic's state of affairs while quarantined in his native of Slovenia. MacMahon shut down rumors of the Mavs star's weight gain:

Anytime Luka (Doncic) goes overseas and people don’t see him there’s going to be these rumors, ‘He’s beefing up again, he’s looking puffy. That rumor’s out there. I asked. I was told that he looks looks fine on their Zoom calls, he’s been working out and he’s actually been playing pickleball over Slovenia.

For the record, pickleball is a popular sport in Europe that combines elements of tennis, ping pong, and badminton. We will no longer go into detail as to how it is played, but just know that it makes for a good form of calorie-burning exercise.

We just hope that Doncic is maintaining social distancing while working out. After all, you can never be too careful when it comes to the dreaded coronavirus.

Doncic's Mavs are currently sitting in the seventh seed in the West. There have been reports stating that the league may implement a play-in tournament for the playoffs, and depending on the format, Dallas may have to be involved. However, there are other scenarios out there in which the Mavs' playoff spot is totally safe.

Regardless, it appears Luka Doncic will be in tip-top shape whenever play does resume.
