Twitter did not go easy on former MLB pitcher Kyle Farnsworth after he seemingly shaded Baltimore Orioles first baseman for taking a day off. Among those who were quick to show their support for Mancini was New York Mets pitcher Marcus Stroman.

While Farnsworth did not drop any names on his tweet, it can be deduced from the timing and the circumstances that he was talking about Mancini, who was hit on the foot last Sunday. The Mets' Stroman certainly picked that up easily. Heres' what Farnsworth said, in case you missed it.

So I just saw that a MLB player didn’t play today because of general soreness. Are you kidding me. It’s September. Everyone is sore. If you can’t play through soreness, you shouldn’t be playing the sport. SMH!

Perhaps social media wouldn't be showing this much rage if Farnsworth did not make it too obvious that he's referring to Mancini. The Orioles star should be the last person anyone would think of as soft. This is a man who missed the entire 2020 MLB season to battle cancer and won. He even almost defeated Pete Alonso in the 2021 Home Run Derby.

In a separate tweet, the Mets star further eviscerated Farnsworth, even bringing up the retired pitcher's mediocre career. Ouch.

My man@TreyMancini is a living legend. A true role model to the youth who has battled an incredible amount of adversity. Past players with poo-poo careers/opinions need to keep it down. He’s a cancer survivor who beat the odds and is a blessing to society. Keep inspiring Trey!

The Mets right-hander can say that, for sure. He has a 3.63 ERA in his career, while Farnsworth finished his MLB career with a 4.26 ERA.
