Despite everything that Michael Kidd-Gilchrist brings to the floor for the Charlotte Hornets, he has also gained notoriety for his atrocious shooting form — joining the likes of Joakim Noah, Desmond Mason, and Chuck Hayes, among others in that woeful category.

Opponents never think twice in giving him free space whenever he’s at least 16 feet away from the basket. In fact, outside of the 2015-2016 season where he only appeared in seven games, the former second overall pick in 2012 has never shot better than 35 percent from 16 feet and within the three-point line.

As such, some serious work is being put out to fix this huge glitch in the former Kentucky Wildcat’s game.

From the looks of the photo alone, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist appears to be showing some promise in his shot. Although no one is expecting him to become a Stephen Curry overnight, the fix, if it works, would allow the Hornets forward to add a new dimension to his game and become a more dangerous threat.

Besides, if Tristan Thompson can switch shooting hands, why can’t Kidd-Gilchrist alter his own shooting form?
