New Orleans Pelicans superstar power forward Anthony Davis is questionable to play in tonight's NBA All-Star game. Davis will warm up before deciding whether or not to play, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times:

Davis returned to the lineup on Feb. 8 after missing nine games due to an injury to his left index finger.

However, Davis suffered another setback when he left last Thursday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder with a bruised shoulder.

The Pelicans had considered shutting Davis down for the year after deciding to keep him at the trade deadline, but decided that Davis would suit up given his clearance to play.

If he were to play, Davis would be coming off the bench as a reserve for Team LeBron.

The 25-year-old had been the talking point of the NBA community before the deadline when his agent Rich Paul announced that he had formally requested a trade from the Pelicans.

After weeks of circulated rumors and trade talks with the likes of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Pelicans elected to keep Davis, at least through the rest of this season.

Davis was looking like a lock to start the All-Star game until he went down with the injury to his finger. He is averaging 28.1 points, 12.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists (all career-highs) to go along with a 30.5 PER, second in the NBA behind James Harden.

LeBron had previously made comments about his desire to play with Davis, which made his selection of Davis in the first round of the reserves drawing rather appropriate.
