It's no secret that Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has a special bond with his brother Thanasis. The All-Star captain gave us even more insight into their relationship with a touching story about the two when they were younger.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the NBA right now. He's one of the two captains of the All-Star game and a front-runner for the MVP award. Things, however, weren't always this perfect for the 24-year-old.

The 24-year-old Bucks star was marking his shoes at his locker before the game as cameras surrounded him. And he told reporters the meaning of what he was putting on the shoes.

“Thanasis thanks for sharing” is a simple sentiment that means so much. The brothers used to share shoes when they were younger and Thanasis would give Giannis the shoes, presumably to go play ball.

The people he went against should just consider themselves lucky the brothers didn't have their own pairs of shoes. Going up against one Antetokounmpo brother was probably already hard enough of a task, no need to have to deal with both of them on the court at the same time.

It's also humbling to hear superstars talk about their upbringings, especially stories like this. Although he's on top of the world right now, Giannis clearly isn't going to forget where he came from any time soon.

More importantly, he's clearly never going to forget about his family.

This is one of the biggest moments of his career to this point. To be a captain of the All-Star game means everyone recognizes your greatness. That doesn't mean though that he couldn't take a moment out to reflect on his past.

It's hard not to root for a guy like Giannis. He's always having fun and seems to connect with fans on a lot of levels. Now, he's giving everyone another reason to enjoy the ride that is the Greek Freak.
