Earlier this week, the NBA Draft Lottery was held and there were quite a few surprises. The Orlando Magic won the Draft lottery. The Oklahoma City Thunder jumped up from the number four slot to snatch the second overall pick. Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets, who had the worst record in the NBA last season, dropped to third.

But you can argue that the biggest winner of the NBA Draft was the Sacramento Kings. They were projected to land the seventh pick and ended up moving all the way up to earn the fourth draft pick. The Kings are entering a very important season. They traded for Domantas Sabonis midway through last season. But if they want to re-sign him to a long-term deal, they might need to finally end their 16-year playoff drought this year.

Because of that, there is a strong belief among other Western Conference foes that the Kings might trade the pick, according to Bleacher Report. This is considered a top heavy draft, and the number four pick holds with it a ton of value.

It is highly expected that the first three picks are spoken for in Chet Holmgren, Jabari Smith Jr. and Paolo Banchero. That puts the Kings in a very advantageous position to land a veteran who can help the playoff push.

They are not the only ones though who could potentially explore a draft day trade. Both the Portland Trailblazers and the New Orleans Pelicans, who hold the seventh and eighth pick respectively, might also explore moving their picks to add an impact player. The Pelicans are coming off a postseason berth and showed they belong. The Blazers, if they want any chance of retaining Damian Lillard, certainly need to get back.
