Dwyane Wade became an NBA legend in just his third season in the league after guiding the Miami Heat to the 2006 championship over the Dallas Mavericks.

Wade was simply a man possessed in the series and wasn't going to let the Heat lose under any circumstances.

After Dallas took a 2-0 series lead, Wade turned into Superman and took over the entire series. The NBA icon averaged 39.3 points while leading the Heat to four straight wins and the franchise's first NBA ring.

During his AMA session with Bleacher Report, Wade talked about what it was like winning that first championship with the Heat.

“It was amazing. For me I never won a championship of that magnitude. Whatever sport I played I never won that sport as a teen,” Dwyane Wade said. “For me to get it in the NBA in my third year, it made me really hungry. Made me hungrier than I could ever be. It was an amazing feeling. It was one of the best feelings ever.”

Wade won Finals MVP after averaging 34.7 points in the series. That was Wade's first of three titles.

Flash retired from the NBA last season after a Hall of Fame career. He got his No. 3 retired by the Heat this season during a three-day event in Miami.

Wade finished his NBA career with averages of 22.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists. He's the best player in Heat franchise history by a wide margin.

A 13-time All-Star, Wade played in five NBA Finals during his career, going 3-2. He won his final two rings with LeBron James and Chris Bosh during the Big Three era.

The Mavericks, though, got their revenge on Wade and the Heat in the 2011 Finals.
