The matchup between the Atlanta Hawks and Phoenix Suns has been postponed, the NBA announced Wednesday morning. The teams were set to face off at Phoenix Suns Arena on Wednesday night.

The Suns' last game was on Monday against the Washington Wizards in the nation's capital. The Wizards previously played the Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, and Miami Heat last week. All three teams have had COVID-19 issues and had games postponed or played with diminished rosters.

Washington's game against the Utah Jazz, set for Wednesday, had already been postponed. Atlanta's prior game came against the Sixers on Monday.

The Wizards have had positive tests and have multiple players in the NBA's health and safety protocols, so contact tracing is the issue for Phoenix, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

In light of the postponement, Hawks All-Star guard Trae Young shared his feelings:

Young was clearly looking forward to the big-time matchup with the impressive Suns backcourt of Chris Paul and Devin Booker. Phoenix is out to a 7-4 start this season, while Atlanta is 5-5.

As of late Wednesday morning, there have now been seven NBA games postponed this season due to COVID-19 concerns.
