A couple of days ago we were treated to the latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel's Mean Tweets. The highly-popular segment of ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! has become an online sensation and the latest NBA edition features another set of basketball personalities. It is culminated by a cameo of from the great Kobe Bryant.

For some reason, this segment — in which the guests are asked to read insulting Tweets pertaining to them — never fails to deliver a good laugh to its millions of viewers. Perhaps it is because it succeeds in not only humanizing the biggest of names in the NBA, but it even pokes fun at them.

Most of the mean tweets are downright funny, but sometimes the reactions from the stars are even more laughable. Every now and then a player is able to respond with an epic comeback, which makes things a lot more fun.

Some of the highlights in this edition include jabs on Draymond Green's jump shot, Scottie Pippen's facial features, Stephen A. Smith's perpetual intensity, and Andre Drummond's free-throw shooting. However, the climax of this clip is undeniably Kobe Bryant showing off his vocal chops. The Black Mamba has already bagged an Academy Award for himself so a Grammy award would be the next logical step.

Kimmel tends to do this sports related versions of the skit whenever a big event is going on. So, just like when it shows up during the Super Bowl, mean tweets being relevant during the NBA Finals is not exactly a shocking development.
