The sports documentary “The Last Dance” has opened the eyes of people all over the world on how intense Michael Jordan was during the heydays of the Chicago Bulls. Some admired his Airness while some, like rapper Willie D, abhorred Jordan's attitude towards his teammates. As such, though he's nowhere near Jordan's financial status, Willie D still believes that he's more successful than the Greatest of All Time.

In an appearance on Vlad TV, Willie D — a member of the defunct hip-hop group Geto Boys — claims that the fact that how he treats people well makes him more successful than Michael Jordan. As transcribed by Aron A. of Hot New Hiphop:

“The thing is, I’m nowhere on his success level, or whatever, in terms of money or whatever, but as a human being, I’m more successful than him, you know? Because I don’t shit on people. I treat people like I want to be treated. I treat human beings with decency, a certain amount of decency, unless, of course, they violate me. Now, if you violate me that’s a different story,” he said.

For Willie D, treating people with respect (which he believes Jordan never accorded most people) is more important than anything else.

“I don’t care what you do for a living. I don’t care how famous you are. I don’t care that you scored 1,000 fuckin’ points in one basketball game. I don’t care if you actually fly muthafucka,” he explained. “You can literally know how to fuckin’ fly and it would not impress me if you are not a good person. I’m more concerned with what kind of person you are.”

Jordan did say that people might think of him as an evil person after seeing “The Last Dance.” He did not make excuses. Jordan just wanted to win so badly.
