NBA players seem to enjoy dressing up for Halloween. Some of their costumes have been elaborate, while others could've used a bit of work. In this piece, we'll take a look back at some of the greatest costumes from players around the league.

Serge Ibaka as Principe Akeem

Serge Ibaka dressed as Akeem (of “Coming To America”) for a Halloween party in October of 2013. His girlfriend at the time, Keri Hilson, took the role of Lisa McDowell. Overall, the couple did a nice job with their costumes.

Isaiah Thomas as an Oompa Loompa

At 5-9, Thomas is one of the shortest players in recent NBA history. Making light of this fact, he utilized his smaller stature in an Oompa Loompa costume for Halloween 2019.

Joakim Noah as Aquaman

Noah is known for his long hair and beard. The two-time All-Star utilized these traits in an Aquaman costume for Halloween 2018. Though there are some aesthetic differences, Joakim does resemble Jason Momoa, the actor who plays the fictional character.

Stephen Curry and family as Toy Story cast

The Curry's are one of the most beloved NBA families, and they often share moments of their lives with followers on social media.

For Halloween 2019, the family decided to dress up as characters from Toy Story. Steph dressed as an injured Buzz Lightyear, while his youngest son, Canon Jack, wore Woody’s signature outfit:

Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian as Khaleesi and Khal Drogo

It was 2017, and Game of Thrones was surging in popularity. In light of this fact, Kardashian and Thompson decided to dress as Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo for Halloween. Their costumes were quite good, with both having loads of detail.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade as Milli Vanilli

For Halloween 2017, Dwyane Wade and his wife, Gabrielle Union, decided to dress as the 80s pop group, Milli Vanilli. The couple shared a quick dance with their followers on Instagram.

Isaiah Thomas as Eazy-E

Though he was out of commission due to a hip injury in 2017, then-Cavs guard Isaiah Thomas didn't let the ailment stop him from joining his new teammates at LeBron James’ annual Halloween party.

Simply put, his rendition of Eazy-E was spot on:

2015 Cavs

It was October of 2015, and the Cavs were on their way to their first NBA championship. For Halloween, several members of the team dressed up for a party at LeBron James' house.

James donned a Prince costume and actually put on a performance for those in attendance. Kevin Love showed off his rendition of Jackie Moon, a character from Will Ferrell's “Semi-Pro,” and J.R. Smith went as a baby.

Paul George as the Night King

Ah, yes… another Game of Thrones entry.

Paul George donned one of the best costumes in recent history for Halloween 2019. Winter was coming, and the former Fresno State standout was ready to take all of Westeros in his Night King costume.

Stephen Curry as Billy the Puppet

Curry sent chills through the hearts of fans everywhere for Halloween 2017.

The former Davidson star entered Oracle Arena on Oct. 29 wearing a Billy the Puppet costume from the horror movie franchise ‘Saw.' For those who don't know, Billy the Puppet is the mechanical ventriloquist doll that the franchise's main character, Jigsaw, uses to deliver frightening messages to his victims.

Curry's costume was on the money. It was also creepy, but that was the intent. He actually rode into the arena from the parking lot to the locker room in costume:

LeBron as Pennywise

If you suffer from coulrophobia, you might want to skip this one. Just think about it… a 6-8, 250 pound dancing clown, smiling with evilest grin you've ever seen.

LeBron James has pulled off several great costumes over the years. However, his ensemble for Halloween 2017 is arguably his best.
