Richard Jefferson is never afraid to speak his mind and if you attack him personally, expect a clap back. Well, his former college teammate at Arizona and ex-NBA star Gilbert Arenas decided to attack Jefferson on a recent podcast because he was drafted in the first round of the 2001 NBA Draft, while Arenas was selected in the second round, 31st overall, despite claiming he was the number one option on that Wildcats team.

Jefferson fired back with authority at Arenas and revealed the reasons he went higher than him:

Yikes. So basically Richard Jefferson said that Arenas did numerous foolish things at the pre-draft meetings in Chicago, even saying in front of all the other players that he wanted to be an international pimp. No wonder teams didn't pick him until the second round. Not exactly a good look.

Both of these players were on a stacked University of Arizona team who were the number one ranked school in the country at the time and although Arenas might've been the most skilled player on the roster, Jefferson's character is was set him apart.

Richard Jefferson made sure to send his love to Arenas at the end of the TikTok, but it sounds like he was spitting the real truth. We know the former Washington Wizards star had his fair share of beef with numerous other players during his time in the Association so honestly, this isn't a surprise to hear.
