Former New York Knicks point guard Stephon Marbury is looking for one last hurrah at the NBA level, as the Chinese Basketball Association star took to Twitter to announce his intentions.

Starbury turned what was a tumultuous career into a very successful overseas stint since leaving the NBA in 2010.

After his departure, the Georgia Tech product has won plenty of accolades since steering his career out of the country, earning three titles with the Beijing Ducks, six All-Star appearances, an All-Star MVP, a foreign MVP award in 2013 and a Finals MVP award in 2015 at 38 years old.

Marbury, now 40 years old, would become the second-oldest NBA player after Vince Carter (40 years, 229 days) if he were to get another shot in the NBA.

A two-time NBA All-Star, Marbury has played for five teams throughout his 13-year NBA career after being drafted fourth overall by the Milwaukee Bucks and consequently traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he starred alongside Kevin Garnett.

The Brooklynite also played for the New Jersey Nets, the Phoenix Suns, and the Knicks, whom he spent five seasons with (the longest stint of his career) before playing four games for the Boston Celtics in 2009 and calling it quits in order to attend his business interests.

Not many rosters have openings at this time of the offseason, with most teams opting to sign players to two-way contracts in order to develop future talent within their own G League system.
