The Sacramento Kings will play the Los Angeles Lakers in a Western Conference matchup on Tuesday evening. It's time continue our NBA odds series with a Kings-Lakers prediction and pick.

The Kings and Lakers will play on Tuesday as the Lakers are nearly back at full strength from their Covid outbreak. Anthony Davis is still out with his knee injury, while LeBron James continue to play at an insanely high level in the mean time. Los Angeles is looking to move their way up the West standings after a difficult start to their season has left them looking up at Western Conference contenders to this point. This should be a good spot for the Lakers to get a win vs. an inferior opponent on their home floor, but nothing is ever guaranteed in the NBA. The Lakers have lost several games they had no business losing already this season as the Davis injury and the fit of Russell Westbrook have both complicated things. Nonetheless, the Lakers come into this spot as favorites over Sacramento.

Here is how FanDuel has set the Kings-Lakers odds for this Tuesday NBA matchup.

NBA Odds: Kings-Lakers Odds

Sacramento Kings +6.5 (-110)

Los Angeles Lakers -6.5 (-110)

Over 230 (-110)

Under 230 (-110)

Why The Kings Could Cover The Spread

The Kings have won three of their last four games and have looked better now that they are mostly on the other side of a Covid outbreak. Sacramento is 5-5 in their last ten games and sits as the No. 10 seed in the West standings. The Kings are 6-10 on the road this season but has not won a road game since Dec. 1 vs. the Los Angeles Clippers. This will be a tough matchup in terms of the win but the cover could be in play as the Kings have played the Lakers close already earlier in the season.

Sacramento vs. the spread

The Kings are 17-21 vs. the spread this season and 5-5 in their last ten games. Sacramento is 11-15 as underdog this season and 5-7 vs. the spread as an away dog. The Kings could be in a good spot for another cover here as they have beat the spread in three of their last four outings.

Why The Lakers Could Cover The Spread

LeBron James has been on fire of late and look for that to continue vs. the Kings. James has scored 30+ points in seven of his last eight games and has been racking up the assists as well. He and Russell Westbrook continue to carry the load as Anthony Davis is sidelined with a knee injury. The Lakers have been bad vs. the spread this season as evidenced below, but LeBron is always capable of going off and blowing out anyone especially a team like the Kings.

Los Angeles vs. the spread

The Lakers are 15-23 vs. the spread overall this season and 4-6 in their last ten games. Los Angeles is just 7-15 vs. the spread at home, but they have  covered in three of their last four contests during James' torrid stretch.

Final Kings-Lakers Prediction and Pick

Take the Lakers to win and cover vs. the Kings here. Los Angeles has not covered regularly this season, but LeBron has been on fire and the Kings should have nothing for him if he can get it rolling again on Tuesday night.

Final Kings-Lakers Prediction & Pick: Lakers -6.5 (-110)
