The NBA schedule has been released for opening night and boy, is it going to be a good one. LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will face Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors, while Kevin Durants' Brooklyn Nets face the defending champion, Milwaukee Bucks.

Could you ask for a better pair of contests to kick off the brand new campaign? The last time the Lakers and Dubs met was in the Play-In Tournament, where LA just edged out Golden State secure the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference. However, they were beaten in six games by the Phoenix Suns. The Warriors meanwhile, went on to lose to Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies which ended their season.

The Nets and Bucks battled it out in an epic Eastern Conference Final, with Milwaukee ultimately coming out on top in seven games thanks to the sheer brilliance of Giannis Antetokounmpo. Fiserv Forum should be bumping for this one as the team will be making their first appearance at home since winning the title.

The Lakers will be looking to make some noise this season after a busy offseason where they acquired numerous players, headlined by Russell Westbrook. The Dubs will also have Klay Thompson back at some point as well which should put them back in the playoff picture.

October 19th is about to be a great night on the NBA schedule.
