Although the Brooklyn Nets recently said they're not willing to part ways with James Harden before the trade deadline, it appears a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers could actually be trending in the direction of happening.

ESPN insider Brian Windhorst made an appearance on GetUp on Wednesday morning and dropped a truth bomb on the negotiations between the Nets and Sixers for the two superstars.

Via Austin Krell:

“We are in the deal zone between Harden and Simmons,” Windhorst on GetUp ESPN. “I suspect they are gonna get it done. I can’t tell you they are gonna get it done. But it’s trending in that direction.”

Harden is expected to leave Brooklyn in free agency this summer and the Sixers have stayed hopeful that the Nets will just trade him now instead. He's voiced his displeasure with the current situation as Steve Nash's squad continues to lose, while the idea of playing with Joel Embiid is reportedly intriguing to The Beard.

As for Simmons, Sixers fans just want to get rid of him at this point. He's shown zero interest in actually suiting up for the team again and a fresh start for him is likely best as well.

Again, this is Windhorst's sources. There is no guarantee the blockbuster will get done, but it's clearly being discussed. If it does happen, it's going to be absolute madness, that's for sure.

Stay tuned.
