It seems legendary NBA center Dikembe Mutombo has been seeing many players do his finger wag the wrong way. Fortunately, he made the effort to correct them on Wednesday.

Mutombo guested on a Philadelphia 76ers show on Wednesday, during which he showed Sixers' in-arena host Christian Crosby the fundamentals of finger wagging.

Dikembe Mutombo observed some players are wagging not only their finger, but also their hands. This is a big no-no for the NBA Hall of Famer. Hey, it's a finger wag after all — you don't include the hand when you execute it properly.

That's not the end of it though. Crosby said that he noticed “there's also a lean,” to which Mutombo replied with affirmation.

“You gotta give him that look,” the four-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year said.

“And you give him the one side,” Mutombo added, with the two laughing after the ex-NBAer gives a demonstration.

Mutombo's finger wagging tutorial couldn't have come at a better time with the NBA playoffs heating up. The postseason features a more physical brand of basketball. Nothing comes easy.

First-rate defenders such as the Sixers center Joel Embiid, Indiana Pacers big man Myles Turner,  Utah Jazz defensive anchor Rudy Gobert and Milwaukee Bucks MVP frontrunner Giannis Antetokounmpo will swat their fair share of shots. And so if they want to execute Mutombo's patented finger wag to a T, they have to review his tutorial.

Otherwise, they might end up disappointing the great “Mount Mutombo.”
