The Brooklyn Nets have announced that small forward Allen Crabbe will be re-evaluated in one to two weeks as he recovers from right knee soreness.

Allen Crabbe has been out of action since Dec. 14.

In 28 games for the Nets this season, Crabbe is averaging 9.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists. The 26-year-old is shooting 34.3 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from beyond the arc and 78.9 percent from the free-throw line.

While Crabbe has been out, Brooklyn has been playing rookie swingman Rodions Kurucs more minutes. Kurucs is putting up 8.7 points and 3.9 rebounds on a nightly basis while shooting 48.6 percent overall and 89.2 percent from the foul line.

The Nets enter Wednesday with a record of 17-21, good for ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Crabbe signed a four-year, $74.8 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers in the summer of 2016. Portland then traded him to the Nets in 2017. He is making $18.5 million this season and has a player option worth $18.5 million for next year.

The six-year NBA veteran is third on the Nets in 3-point percentage. He spaces the floor well for Brooklyn, which allows point guards D'Angelo Russell and Spencer Dinwiddie to drive to the basket. Brooklyn is hoping they can get Crabbe back into the lineup soon.
