Goran Dragic knows exactly what the Brooklyn Nets must do to reach the NBA Finals and win the championship: “no excuses.”

Dragic, who recently signed with the Nets after being traded to the San Antonio Spurs and reaching a buyout, spoke with the media on Wednesday and addressed his signing and aspirations with the team. Asked about Brooklyn and what they need to do to accomplish their title hopes, the Slovenian guard didn't hold back his thoughts.

“No excuses. No excuses anymore,” Dragic responded, per Brian Lewis of the New York Times.

While that seems pretty simple, it is definitely what the Nets need to hear. After being the top seed in the East, they have fallen all the way down to the eighth seed given the injury to Kevin Durant and part-time status of Kyrie Irving.

Back then, it was only James Harden leading the way for the team until he suffered an injury as well–before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers at the deadline.

Despite all those issues, the Nets did not panic and saw their injury woes and offcourt issues as some sort of excuse. However, with the regular season entering its final stage and the playoff race heating up, Brooklyn certainly needs to step up and fight hard day in and day out.

For a team who sees the season as championship-or-bust, the pressure is on to deliver. And for Goran Dragic, it starts with their mentality.
