Much has been made of the NBA's recent rule change on foul baiting. Brooklyn Nets superstar James Harden has been one of, if not the adversely affected player of this shift in the rules. As such, the former league MVP just had to thank the heavens on Monday night the moment he finally got a whistle in his favor.

The game official blew his whistle for a foul against Harden's defender mid-way through the second quarter on Monday as the Nets took on the Chicago Bulls. Harden absolutely loved the call and he just could not help but look to the high heavens as he celebrated this momentous occasion (h/t Hoop Central on Twitter):

Harden even did a double fist pump after making the and-1 layup and he just couldn't hide the joy in his face. Even his Nets teammates on the bench had to give the referees a standing ovation after finally calling a foul in favor of James Harden.

There was clearly a bit of sarcasm in Harden and his teammate's overly enthusiastic celebration. It looked like they were celebrating a game-deciding play. In a way, this was their way of taking a veiled shot at the league for the recent rule change that has put Harden in a bit of a pickle.
