There's more bad news for the Brooklyn Nets after Kevin Durant had to exit Saturday's tilt against the New Orleans Pelicans. KD suffered what is now being labeled as a knee sprain after a collision with teammate Bruce Brown and it sounds like the former MVP is going to spend some time on the shelf because of this injury.

Durant exited in the game in the second period and it looked like he was in some pain after the incident:

Here's a look at Nets teammate Bruce Brown inadvertently falling on KD's left knee (h/t Talkin' NBA on Twitter):

It was later revealed that Durant would no longer be able to return to the game for the second half:

It is worth noting that the Nets were up 69-41 at halftime and this definitely played a factor in Brooklyn's decision to rule KD out for the remainder of the contest. Durant will likely have tests done on his left knee after the game and the results of the same should determine if he's going to miss time because of this injury.

The Nets have lost three out of their last five games prior to Saturday's bout against the Pelicans. They entered this game with a 26-15 record, which is good for third in the Eastern Conference.
