Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets are now headed to an early summer vacation after they were sensationally swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs. The Celtics defeated the Nets on Monday night, 116-112, to complete a clean four-game sweep on the supposedly mighty Nets.

After the game, Durant shared his brutally honest thoughts about how his team failed to progress to the next round. KD was pleased about how the Nets came together towards the latter part of the season, but there's no denying that he's extremely disappointed about their season-ending defeat:

“Once we finally got together we had a mission and wanted to make the playoffs and see what kind of noise we could make. We didn't make any noise but we got to the playoffs,” Durant said, via Dave Early of ClutchPoints.

This sucks for KD. He was an absolute beast for the Nets all season long and it's hard to argue against the notion that he does not deserve to go out like this. Durant wasn't his best in this series, though, and this was definitely a major factor behind the sweep.

Sadly, the Nets are the only team in the first round that went out on a clean sweep.
