Kenneth Faried is one of the new players headed to the Brooklyn Nets, and their fans should be excited to see what the former Denver Nuggets power forward can bring to his new team.

Nets general manager Sean Marks thinks Faried's game will transition well to Brooklyn. Marks told Anthony Puccio of SBNation:

“His game will transition well to Brooklyn and what Kenny’s wanting to do here. He brings some of the intangibles that you mentioned before, which is just that interior presence, the physicality and so forth.”

Marks is spot on with his assessment of Faried. The Nets sorely needed another big man to hold down the interior and provide some veteran leadership. Faried fell out of the rotation in Denver, but he's still a rugged rebounder and decent scorer.

By going to a Nets team with less frontcourt depth than the Denver Nuggets, Faried should be able to perform close to his career averages of 11.4 points and 8.2 rebounds. Faried only played in 32 games last season and averaged 5.9 points and 4.8 rebounds.

While his per game averages dropped significantly, this was due to his lack of playing time. His per 36 minutes averages were on par with how he usually performs.

And in terms of what Faried wants to do in Brooklyn, he wants to get paid. He's in the final year of his contract and he's looking to prove that he is still a productive player. There aren't many better places for Faried to do that. He's going to get significant playing time on a young team that isn't likely to compete next season.

Faried and Brooklyn are an interesting and possibly beneficial pairing,
