The Brooklyn Nets are early favorites to win the 2022 NBA title after an unfortunate exit in this year's playoffs due to injuries. The Milwaukee Bucks ultimately beat the Nets and went on to win the NBA title, but it appears Brooklyn could steal one of their role players this offseason.

Per Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer, the Nets are expected to be leading the race to sign Bryn Forbes:

Bryn Forbes parted ways with Milwaukee after not playing in the last three games of the Finals, and league sources said the Brooklyn Nets are believed to be a leading candidate for him. Other teams to keep an eye on: Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas and New Orleans.

As noted by Fischer, Forbes didn't see the floor in the final three games of the NBA Finals. That was surely a gut punch considering he was one of their best three-point shooters. The Nets meanwhile could definitely use some backcourt depth and sharpshooters and Forbes will certainly fit the bill. In his lone season with the Bucks, the former Spurs guard averaged 10 points per game in a bench role, while draining 45% of his threes.

Brooklyn finished second in the Association with a 39.2% clip from downtown, but adding a player like Forbes would be a nice addition alongside their Big 3 of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden. While the Nets could face competition for Forbes, there's no doubt he'll be interested in joining another championship-caliber team.
