Drama has completely taken over the Brooklyn Nets this offseason and free agency hasn't even kicked off yet. Many are speculating Kyrie Irving will leave the franchise as he's already given the front office a list of teams he'd like to play for. Meanwhile, all eyes are on Kevin Durant, as the superstar forward may opt for a change of scenery as well. Now, it sounds like Brooklyn is preparing for the worst.

According to Brian Windhorst, the Nets are preparing to lose both of their superstars. If that's the case, there will be major changes for this team. Irving is rumored to be interested to reunite with LeBron James and play for the Los Angeles Lakers. However, there hasn't been much talk of any prime destinations for Kevin Durant, but Damian Lillard has campaigned for the superstar to request a trade to join the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Nets have been busy in recent years signing nearly everyone under the sun to build a super team. Nothing has worked though, as two years in a row, Brooklyn has fallen short in the postseason. Nothing is official for now, but with rumblings of the franchise preparing for the worst, there might be some truth to the rumors.

We'll see how it all plays out relatively soon. Kyrie Irving must choose to accept or decline his player option by Wednesday. Additionally, free agency is set to begin on Thursday. Everything hangs in the balance of Irving's decision, as it dictates the future of this franchise.
