It hasn't even been two months since Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant tore his Achilles, but he's already been seen walking without crutches in the streets of Los Angeles.

Durant suffered a ruptured Achilles on June 6, when he played for the Golden State Warriors in Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Nine days later, he underwent successful surgery to repair the torn muscle.

Now, walking with no crutches or leg support is not an indication that Durant is close to returning from the career-altering injury. He's still expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season, although the Nets have already said that he might be able to return to the court earlier than expected. Team officials will evaluate his progress and will decide if they will let him play next season.

KD, a 10-time All-Star, has led the Warriors to two straight championships since joining them in 2016. Last season, they were gunning for their third straight title and were seemingly on their way before Durant suffered a calf strain in Game 5 of the Western Conference semi-finals against the Houston Rockets. He missed the rest of that series, the conference finals, and the first four games of the Finals before deciding to return in Game 5, with the Dubs down in the series 3-1.

Durant looked great in his return, scoring 11 points in the game. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for him to suffer another injury, which was the Achilles tear.

Most NBA stars who suffered an Achilles injury weren't able to return to their usual form after sitting out for at least eight months. But fans are hopeful that with Durant's talent level, he will be able to return and dominate the league once again.
