University of Mississippi wide receiver D.K. Metcalf is not only one of the most talented receivers in this year's NFL Draft class, but he is also one of the most fit prospects, period.

But is he is as in shape as he claims?

Metcalf insists that he only has 1.9 percent body fat, which certainly raised a lot of eyebrows because, well, it doesn't seem humanly possible.

Trainer Joe DeFranco isn't buying it either, saying that that simply isn't enough body fat for a person to properly function.

“You need at least three percent body fat for your organs to function,” DeFranco said last month on his podcast. “If somebody’s body fat percentage legitimately dips under two percent, that’s not an impressive physique. That’s a medical emergency. Get that person to the hospital ASAP before they die. It’s not something we’re looking at and going, ‘Wow, how impressive.’ That person needs their life to be saved.”

So, maybe Metcalf should stop pushing the whole “less than two percent body fat” thing, because, if anything, it is only going to scare NFL teams away.

But, of course, these teams likely have the legitimate medical report of Metcalf, so they likely all know what Metcalf's body fat percentage truly is.

Metcalf was not overly productive at Mississippi, as he is coming off of a sophomore campaign in which he hauled in just 26 receptions for 569 yards and five touchdowns. However, due to his combination of size and athleticism, he will likely be one of the first wide outs off the board.
