Former Ohio State Buckeyes standout Chase Young didn't mince words when he was asked about who the best player in the 2020 NFL Draft. On an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show, Young made it known that he is the best player in the draft.

Most believe Young will be selected second overall by the Washington Redskins, although there have been teams who have tried to trade up to get him. Young grew up in Maryland, and he has said before that it would be an honor to play for the Redskins. Per ABC7's Scott Abraham, Young said,

“It would definitely be an honor to play at home … Not a lot of people get the opportunity to play for their hometown football team. God-willing He gives me the chance to do it. Like any team I'd go to, I'm going to be the best player I can be. It would definitely be a great experience closer to home. It would definitely be real good.”

Young was a standout at Ohio State and the day he steps onto the NFL field he is going to be a matchup nightmare for any team. In three seasons with the Buckeyes, Young racked up 98 tackles and 30.5 sacks. In 2019, he was an unanimous All-American and took home numerous defensive awards. He was also the first defensive player since 2016 to be invited to the Heisman Trophy ceremony.

Once Young gets selected it will be his job to prove that he is the best player in this draft class.
