The NFL preseason is approaching its end and that means it is time for the regular season. However, this weekend's game with the Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints has officially been canceled, according to Ari Meirov.

The reason for the cancellation is due to the hurricane, and the NFL is playing it safe and not risking anything.

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday evening, and then it was moved up in hopes of avoiding the hurricane. But, now the game has been all the way scrapped, per the Saints official announcement, and has officially ended the NFL preseason for both teams.

Due to the intensification of the hurricane throughout the day and after the most recent tropical update, the team's leadership has made the decision in the best interests of all personnel that may have been directly and indirectly affected by the storm.

This comes on the same day that the Saints announced Jameis Winston as their starting quarterback, and Saints fans will have to wait for the NFL regular season to see him take the helm, officially. The Saints open up at home against the Green Bay Packers, and the Cardinals open their season against the Tennessee Titans.
