The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic prevented Las Vegas from hosting the 2020 NFL Draft. Fortunately, it appears the league has found a way to make up for it. The NFL has announced that the 2021 Pro Bowl will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, via NFL 345:

The Las Vegas Raiders are still in the midst of a complete relocation due to the restrictions placed in response to the ongoing pandemic. Although the circumstances forced the NFL's newest city to take a virtual approach to the draft, they will now have the honor of hosting the league's biggest stars in 2021. Not to mention the 2022 NFL Draft will also be making its return to the Strip.

Among the notable events for this Pro Bowl are the NFL FLAG Championship games, team practices for both conferences and the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown. The league will also be putting an emphasis on philanthropic efforts to assist the NFL's newest community in Las Vegas.

It is no secret that the Pro Bowl has largely been an underwhelming event for fans and the league has made efforts to add some more intrigue to the game. Fortunately, Las Vegas is well-equipped to provide their own spin after years of serving as the hosts of the NBA Summer League.

Of course, it remains to be seen just what kind of restrictions will remain in place by the time the Pro Bowl comes around. While commissioner Rpger Goodell has been adamant about maintaining the timeline of the 2020 NFL season, there is still no telling if fans will be allowed to attend.
