The NFL recently made some alterations to their website and there seemed to be a bit of a mishap. As pointed out by his girlfriend on Twitter, the league's redesigned website listed Colin Kaepernick as retired.

After exposing the NFL on social media, fans became aware of the mistake that the league made on its website. Due to the influx of fans calling for a change, the NFL adjusted Kaepernick's profile to say that he's an unrestricted free agent.

Of course, since the end of the 2016 NFL season, Kaepernick has been out of the NFL due to his decision to kneel during the National Anthem. While the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback wants to return to the league, no teams have expressed interest in signing him.

Near the end of last season, Colin Kaepernick was extended an offer by the NFL to conduct a workout in front of NFL executives. Despite the seemingly generous offer, the league laid out some questionable restrictions on the workout. As a result, Kaepernick chose to relocate the event and conduct his own workout with some of his trainers.

The last time Kaepernick played in the NFL, he threw for 2,241 yards, 16 touchdowns, and four interceptions for the 49ers in 2016. Fast forward to now and he's remained in phenomenal shape in hopes he could return to the NFL.

Regardless of the lack of interest from teams, Kaepernick is in no way, shape, or form retired from the NFL. Sadly, it appears that the letters ‘UFA' will remain under his name for the foreseeable future.
