Former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Rishard Matthews got his wish to be released from the team earlier in the 2018 NFL season. It appears he has since landed on the radar for the Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals.

Matthews seemed confident in his stock on the open market. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, he is scheduled to work out for the Browns and Cardinals:

Per multiple reports, Matthews is scheduled to work out for the Browns on Monday, and then the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Matthews began his career with the Miami Dolphins. However, he enjoyed his best years in Tennessee, which includes a stellar 2016 campaign. He signed a one-year deal with the Titans ahead of this season.

Unfortunately, Matthews missed most of the offseason with injuries. As a result, his role on offense dwindled when he was finally able to make his return. He was not shy about venting his frustration with his lack of involvement. Although they had spent time looking for potential trade partners, a deal never came to fruition and he was ultimately released. Needless to say, both the Browns and Cardinals are in need of some more depth.

Cleveland recently parted ways with wide receiver Josh Gordon and have yet to find a viable option outside of wide receiver Jarvis Landry. Meanwhile, the Cardinals finally pulled the trigger on quarterback Josh Rosen. The rookie could certainly use another potential option in Arizona's lackluster offense.
