All 32 teams in the NFL are gearing up for free agency, and teams around the league are operating as if the new league year will start on time:

The NFL has already canceled the annual owner meeting that was scheduled to take place in Palm Beach, Florida from March 29-April 1. They then proceeded to cease all pre-draft visits scheduled for the coming weeks.

Now, with the new collective bargaining agreement agreed upon, the NFL has to decide what is best for free agency. As of this moment, the new league year is set to begin on March 18. However, the legal tampering period for free agents begins on Monday.

Provided that, the NFL will likely come to an official resolution on the matter Sunday. At the least, Garafolo believes that free agency is going to begin as scheduled. However, NFL executives are speaking now about the specifics of free agency.

Due to the coronavirus, travel for teams could become a bit tougher to manufacture in the near future. Nevertheless, teams can conduct meetings with players over video or over the phone. At the same time, physicals could become an issue if travel is limited in any capacity.

Of course, the NFL wants to be cautious to help prevent the coronavirus from worsening any further. While the current expectation is free agency starting on time, if the NFL determines it would be best to postpone the start of the new league year, it would be hard to argue.
