With the number of talented wide receivers in the NFL, everyone was anxious to see who would be rated the highest-rated wide receivers in Madden 21. Despite the ongoing uncertainties of the actual season, the top 10 wide receiver ratings in Madden 21 were revealed on Friday, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

First and foremost, Michael Thomas is going to be joining the 99 club in the upcoming video game. Besides Thomas, Patrick Mahomes, Christian McCaffrey, Aaron Donald, and Stephon Gilmore received 99 overall ratings.

Regardless of his consistency since entering the NFL in 2016, some people have an issue with him being rated above DeAndre Hopkins and Julio Jones. While Tyreek Hill is the No. 4 wide receiver, to no one's surprise, he'll have the highest speed rating in Madden 21. The speedy wideout is going to have a 99 speed rating for the second consecutive season.

The next surprise for some people may be Amari Cooper being rated as the sixth-best wide receiver. Even though Mike Evans has been nothing but productive in his first six seasons, he's the No. 8 wide receiver on the list.

Also, as good as all of the guys on the list are, one notable omission is Chris Godwin. While Godwin didn't break out until 2019, he'll definitely make his way into the top 10 wide receivers soon.

Following his struggles last season, some would argue that Odell Beckham Jr. shouldn't be on this list. However, when Beckham is healthy, he's still one of the most dynamic options in the NFL. There's no doubt that the wide receiver ratings are going to spark arguments among fans.
