Former NFL running back Zac Stacy has officially found a new home. Not in the NFL, but rather in the newly-formed Alliance of American Football or AAF, where the veteran rusher is already thriving.

Over the weekend, Stacy notably became the first running back in Alliance of American Football history to rush for over 100 yards. As a result, the former New York Jets and St. Louis Rams running back couldn't be happier to receive the opportunity to continue his professional football career.

“Dealing with all my injuries that I had, I just held up the best I could to get another opportunity,” Stacy recently said, via the league's official website. “I decided to play in this league and I’m happy to be here and I’m happy for this opportunity to just get back to competing again. That’s the main thing for me.”

Stacy, now a member of the Memphis Express, previously broke into the NFL as a member of the aforementioned Rams back in 2013-14. A fifth-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft pick out of Vanderbilt, the 27-year-old rusher would go on to spend his first two seasons in St. Louis before spending the 2015-16 campaign with the New York Jets.

Now part of the AAF, Stacy is only focused on his team's success.

“You have to be positive, especially in a situation like this,” Stacy added. “Being 0-2 is never a good feeling. You have to keep moving forward. We’re going to have ups and downs. It’s going to show a lot about us as a team and the character that we have. We just have to keep moving forward.”

Stacy rushed for 1,355 yards and nine touchdowns on 357 carries during his time as an NFL player.
