The Jaguars travel to the NFL's largest stadium to take on the Cowboys in the final week of the preseason. It’s time to continue our NFL odds series and make a Jaguars-Cowboys prediction and pick.

The Jaguars are set to start Trevor Lawrence at quarterback in the regular season, but he continues to receive significant playing time in the preseason too. It will be interesting to see how the Jags manage his workload in this game in Arlington. Dallas is of course set with Dak Prescott at quarterback, but the backup role is still up for grabs.

Here’s how the bookmakers have set the lines for Sunday's matchup.

NFL Odds: Jaguars-Cowboys Odds

Why The Jaguars Could Win

Trevor Lawrence gets one last rehearsal game before the real deal starts in September. Last week, he threw for 113 yards on 23 pass attempts, a lot considering he's definitely starting in Week 1. Meanwhile, Gardner Minshew II, who used to start for the Jags, threw 21 attempts for 149 yards and an interception. C.J. Beathard, former 49ers quarterback, added in two passing touchdowns of his own too. Given that Lawrence has already been named the starter and the Jags already know what Minshew is capable of, look for Beathard to have another solid game as he's likely the #3 quarterback on this team as is. If C.J. plays impressively enough again, then maybe he even has a chance to leap Minshew II on the depth chart. Jacksonville has an exciting young roster and the backups will be amped up playing in one of football's most iconic venues.

Why The Cowboys Could Win

Ben DiNucci, Cooper Rush, and Garrett Gilbert all received some playing time at quarterback last week. My guess is that Rush lands the backup job, especially after throwing for two touchdowns last week. He put up an amazing 139.9 quarterback rating in Dallas' lost last week, a great sign for Rush as he enters the final week of preseason play. Knowing they'll need to finalize the backup role ASAP, expect the Cowboys to primarily feature Rush in this game against the Jags. If that happens, Rush is a great candidate to throw for another couple touchdowns. The Jags also have one of the NFL's worst defenses, so with backups mostly playing in this game, Rush might have a field day against a porous secondary.

Final Jaguars-Cowboys Prediction & Pick

Will this game be remembered as the Cooper Rush game? That's my gut feeling. Rush has a career performance and solidifies his spot on the roster and giving him, for the first time in his career, a rather legitimate chance to find a semi-significant role on an NFL roster.

Dallas is plus money here, so it's an easy pick for me.
